Does anybody know if it is possible to simultaneously send
audio and receive audio at the same time?
I would like it to send some speech, but at the same time it could
receive and record the audio to disk.

Anyway, yes it is possible via capi and isdn4linux , otherwise I couldn't use
voip with capi/i4l interface (asterisk & chan_capi/i4l)
This mode is called duplex

Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know CS uses non-duplex for the AnsweringMachine, dunno about fax but
I think it is something different.
